While there are many work-at-home jobs that hire nationwide, some companies get very specific about the locations of their remote workers. This often isn’t necessarily by choice, but instead due to local laws and tax requirements. Some companies may even require onsite training.

Tutors must provide professional and friendly service and commit to their weekly set hours- usually between 8-19 hours per week. Work can be completed completely online and workers must provide their own equipment such as a computer and high-speed internet.
Education First provides work from home opportunities around the world. A variety of work is available, from teaching English to children to business people. Education First offers part-time and full-time positions. Depending on the position a bachelor’s degree and other certifications may be required. Independent contractors from around the world can find remote work through Appen. Work available through Appen is varied and each job has different requirements. Being bilingual is an asset at Appen as they have work in many different languages. Positions include social media evaluations, transcriptions and data analysis. Work is part-time the required hours vary per project. Workers can complete projects from anywhere in the world they have internet and a computer.
Sykes is hiring at-home workers to join their customer service team. Positions include customer service representatives, team leads and support positions. Sykes connects their workers through a variety of method so you can still feel like part of a team even if you are working from home. Applicants with prior customer service experience are preferred.
Travel lovers and experienced sales professionals can find work as a home travel sales professional through World Travel Holdings.
